MatchForge AI is built on a simple principle: your personal data is yours. This policy explains exactly what the extension does and doesn't do with your information. The short version is that we collect almost nothing — because we don't need to.
MatchForge AI does not collect, transmit, log, or store any of the following on any external server:
All AI optimization is performed locally on your computer using Google's Gemini Nano model, which is built into Chrome 138+. Your profile text is processed entirely within your browser — it is never sent to MatchForge servers, third-party AI servers, or anywhere else.
When the Gemini Nano model is unavailable, the extension falls back to template-based optimization. This fallback also runs entirely locally — no network requests are made to process your profile text.
The following data is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. It is accessible only to you and never transmitted anywhere:
If you choose to upgrade to a paid plan, payments are processed by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe for payment handling.
The extension communicates with extensionpay.com only to verify whether your account is paid,
using an anonymous bearer token. No personal payment information (card numbers, billing address, etc.)
is stored in the extension or accessible to us. All payment data is handled exclusively by
ExtensionPay and Stripe under their respective privacy policies:

The extension requests access to 13 dating app domains (Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Match, OkCupid, POF, Zoosk, eHarmony, Badoo, Coffee Meets Bagel, LOVOO, Feeld, HER, Grindr) solely to run the bio auto-fill content script described above. The extension does not read, record, or transmit any data from these sites.
fonts.googleapis.com when the popup is open. This is a standard web font request; no personal data is included.
No analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporters, or data brokers are used anywhere in the extension.
MatchForge AI is designed for adults aged 18 and over, consistent with the minimum age requirements of the dating platforms it supports. We do not knowingly process information from anyone under 18.
Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it. You can clear your optimization history at any time from the History tab inside the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data from your browser.
If we update this policy, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. We will not make material changes without updating that date. Continued use of the extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
