GrammarGodAi is a Chrome extension that corrects grammar, spelling, and punctuation in text submitted by the user. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Data We Collect

GrammarGodAi collects and stores the following data locally on your device only, using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

• Your daily fix count (reset every 24 hours)
• Your correction history (last 20 fixes, stored locally)
• Lifetime usage statistics (total fixes, total corrections, day streak)
• Tone preference usage counts
• Review reward status and expiry timestamp
• Installation timestamp

None of this data is transmitted to any external server operated by GrammarGodAi or its developer.

Text You Submit

Text that you paste into the extension is processed using Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano AI model, which runs locally on your device. Your text is not sent to any external AI server by this extension. Chrome's built-in AI is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Payment Data

Premium subscriptions are handled by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com), a third-party payment processor. When you choose to upgrade, you are directed to ExtensionPay's secure payment page. GrammarGodAi does not collect, store, or have access to your payment card details. Please review ExtensionPay's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle payment data.

To verify your subscription status, the extension makes a request to the ExtensionPay API using your Chrome extension ID as an anonymous identifier. No personal information is transmitted in this request.

Permissions Used

• storage — Stores usage data, history, and stats locally on your device.
• alarms — Resets your daily fix counter at midnight UTC without requiring the extension to be open.
• clipboardRead / clipboardWrite — Used only when you click "Fix & Copy" to write the corrected text to your clipboard.
• host_permissions (extensionpay.com) — Allows the extension to contact ExtensionPay to verify your subscription status.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or analytics purposes. The only external service contacted is ExtensionPay, solely for subscription verification.

Data Retention and Deletion

All locally stored data can be cleared at any time by removing the extension from Chrome. Uninstalling GrammarGodAi permanently deletes all locally stored data from your device.

Children's Privacy

GrammarGodAi is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
