1. Who We Are

AstroVibe AI is a Chrome browser extension developed and published by an independent developer operating under the name AstroVibe AI. This Privacy Policy explains how the extension handles information when you use it.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be unambiguous: AstroVibe AI collects no personal information whatsoever. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
• Your IP address or approximate location
• Your browsing history or activity on any website
• Device identifiers, hardware information, or operating system details
• Any data about the websites you visit
• Demographic information of any kind
• Usage analytics, crash reports, or telemetry data
• Payment details (all payments are handled directly by Stripe via ExtensionPay)

3. What the Extension Stores Locally

AstroVibe AI uses Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API to store a small amount of data on your device only. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third party:

• Your selected zodiac sign — so the extension remembers your preference between sessions
• Your cached daily horoscope — stored locally so your reading remains consistent throughout the day and does not require repeated network calls
• Your subscription status — a flag indicating whether you have an active paid plan (managed by ExtensionPay)
• Review reward status — a flag and timestamp if you have claimed the free-month review reward
• Read count — an anonymous counter used only to show a one-time in-app review prompt after 7 readings

All of this data is stored only on your local device and can be cleared at any time by removing the extension or clearing Chrome extension storage.

4. Network Requests Made by the Extension

The extension makes the following outbound network requests on your behalf. No personally identifiable information is included in any of these requests:

4.1 Horoscope Data (Free Public APIs)

To deliver your daily horoscope, the extension contacts one of two free public APIs:

• horoscope-app-api.vercel.app — Primary source. Request contains only your chosen zodiac sign (e.g. "scorpio") and the word "TODAY". No user data.
• aztro.sameerkumar.website — Secondary fallback. Same data: sign name and day. No user data.

If both APIs are unavailable, horoscope text is generated entirely on your device from a built-in content library. No network request is made in this case.

4.2 ExtensionPay (Subscription Verification)

If you choose to purchase a paid plan, the extension communicates with extensionpay.com to verify your subscription status. ExtensionPay is powered by Stripe. The only identifier used is your anonymous Chrome extension installation ID, which cannot be linked to your identity. You can review ExtensionPay's privacy practices at extensionpay.com.

4.3 On-Device AI (Gemini Nano)

Premium users on Yearly and Lifetime plans may access AI-generated "Cosmic Vibe" summaries. This feature uses Chrome's built-in Gemini Nano — an on-device AI model that runs entirely within your browser. No data is sent to Google or any external server. If on-device AI is not available on your device, the feature gracefully falls back to pre-written content with no network call.

5. Payments and Billing

All payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe via the ExtensionPay platform. AstroVibe AI never sees, stores, or processes your payment card details. When you upgrade, you are redirected to ExtensionPay's secure payment page. Please review Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy for details on how payment data is handled.

6. Third-Party Services Summary

• horoscope-app-api.vercel.app — Free public horoscope API. No account. No auth. Sign name + day only.
• aztro.sameerkumar.website — Free public horoscope API. No account. No auth. Sign name + day only.
• extensionpay.com / Stripe — Payment processing for optional upgrades. Subject to their own privacy policies.
• Chrome Gemini Nano — On-device AI. No external data transmission.

We have no advertising partners. We do not use analytics services. We do not use tracking pixels or cookies of any kind.

7. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any user data with any third party for any purpose. There is no data to share — we do not collect it.

8. Children's Privacy

AstroVibe AI does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The extension contains no features directed at children and does not require any personal information to operate.

9. Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to provide, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. All locally stored data (your sign preference, cached reading, etc.) can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension or clearing Chrome's extension storage via chrome://settings/content/all.

If you are located in the European Union (GDPR) or California (CCPA), please note that we do not collect, process, or sell personal data, and therefore the substantive obligations under these frameworks do not apply. We are committed to full compliance regardless.

10. Data Security

All data stored by the extension is held in Chrome's sandboxed extension storage on your local device, subject to Chrome's own security model. We do not operate servers that store user data, so there is no server-side data breach risk associated with this extension.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the extension after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We will not make changes that reduce your privacy protections without clear notice.
